MacOS iVMS-4200 for Mac Mojave V2.0.0.17?

I am trying to use my old Mac to access my HIKvision cameras on V2.0.0.17 but i can't find a user manual and I can't import my cameras from V1.02.03.02 on El Capitan, anybody find a user manual for Mac, or help?

Hallo,
I am also trying to import my cameras with version v2.0.0.17
iMac iOS big sur
ds-2cd2347g2-Lsu/sl (V5.7.14 build 231028)

When i add the camera in device management, the net status is grey.
The error that is popping up is
Incorrect data to device

I reinstall V2.0.0.12 and everything is working fine

How old is your iMac? Is it older than 2015?

Okay,

I think it is likely a compatibility issue, as the MacOS has progressed we have seen increasing issues with Hikvision Mac compatibility.

We hadn't actually realised that our office 2015 Mac (running Monterey) was running iVMS-4200 v2.0.0.12, we haven't attempted to update to the latest v2.0.0.17 release (but that was actually released 2-3 years ago) but by the sounds of it might not be compatible with certain recent versions of MacOS.

I think if the v2.0.0.12 release is stable, you are probably best off just sticking to this version.

We've spoken to Hikvision support about improving support for Hikvision on Mac, they gave us a kind of non-answer that suggested they have no urgent plans to improve Hikvision access/support for Mac users.

I "upgraded" from ivms v 2.0.0.12 to 18 and it crashes on my Mac 11.7 any idea how I could re-install v 12?

You can try re-installing V2.0.0.12 from the Hikvision Download Portal

Thank's Dan, just did that. My mistake. I should have known better than to just blindly follow the "upgrade path". I usually aim to archive other apps so a roll-back being not a problem, if/when things go wrong.

It's a shame. Hik have great kit, (better than almost anything else out there), but, navigating; interpreting, and understanding their philosophy-their miriad software "solutions", are not easy to navigate, or understand, for me, the average user.

Has anyone produced a "crib sheet". Tick-box forms, a fail-safe set of Q/As flow-charts as guidance for installers?
