Hi @Radhak The reset process you describe above is the correct process. The .xml reset files are time sensitive; if you don't use them quickly enough, they can stop working. We would recommend taking that error code back to Hikvision support and ask then to generate you a new file.

It's to do with the age of your firmware. The V3 firmware likely won't support modern browsers like Chrome & Firefox, You will need to do at least the first update using either a USB stick & direct monitor or by downloading HiTools Delivery which allows you to update firmware from the desktop tool.
