Hi @Popps When you log in to the DVR and go to the System > Basic Information menu, you should see the current firmware version that the DVR is using. If you are running old firmware, this could be the cause of the strange behaviour/glitches you are seeing.

If the regularity of the motion detection triggers (e.g. an average of 50 a day, 75 a day, 100 a day, etc...) hasn't changed drastically from before you changed the HDD, then yes, it should hold those motion event recordings for longer with the larger HDD.

Hi @TheOn3 If your recorder is set up to record continuously 24/7 (and you haven't manually put any other settings in place to restrict recording), then a larger HDD should automatically give you more days of recording.

I believe so, this is what Milesight explained to us several years ago. We haven't sold or had any contact with Milesight for several years, so things might have changed. I would recommend that you speak to their support team for advice on which software is most suitable for your requirements.

Hi @TheOn3 As far as we can see, V4.25.001 is still the latest firmware. We believe this specific DVR model might now be obsolete/EOL, which means that the V4.25.001 firmware will more than likely be the last firmware for this model.
