    CCTV videos won't load

Open the Hik-Connect app and go to Me > About and you should see the current app version there. Can you access the NVR with a PC/browser on your local network or do you access it with a direct HDMI monitor?

    CCTV videos won't load

Hi @Popps Is this in the Hik-Connect app? Can you please confirm what version of the app you are currently running? Do you have the cameras added directly to the app or are they connected to an NVR which you've added to the app? Can you please confirm the current firmware your cameras and/or...

Advice on camera image at nightime

Hi @camman1 The best thing would be to angle the camera up and away from the wall it is mounted to. At the moment you have too much wall in the camera's field of view, this causes problems at night because the camera's IR light is reflecting off that wall and making that part of the image...

    Connecting cameras via Ethernet Switch

See this guide if you need help with manually adding cameras to the NVR: https://forum.use-ip.co.uk/forum/threads/how-do-i-add-a-hikvision-device-to-my-nvr.6025/

    Connecting cameras via Ethernet Switch

Hi @Hikory What you describe is absolutely possible. As long as the PoE switch that has the 2 new cameras is on the same local network/router as the NVR, those cameras can be assigned local network IP addresses and manually added to the NVR.

    upgrade hikvision dvr

Hi @akj1 Yes, in principle, a newer analog DVR like the iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT should support your older camera models, but we would recommend speaking to a supplier/installer that sells analog DVRs for more accurate information as there may be some limitations to running older models on a new DVR.

    No more digital zoom :(

Hi @Mark Simpson If you login to the NVR and go to Configuration > Image > OSD Settings you should have the option to change the 'Camera Name', see below: But this will probably only change the name displayed in the device list, on the live streams, and on recorded footage from the point you...

    New Hardware Revision (W)

Hi @apashi We are not sure about other global regions, but in the UK there are multiple new (W) models that are part of a new/updated WiFi Series camera range. Most of these models didn't exist in the UK market before the launch of the (W) versions so we have no experience of what previous...

    ColorVu 3.0 cams

Hi @steve1225 If you look at this forum thread from a few months ago, you'll see that when these new EasyIP 4.0/ColorVu 3.0 cameras were announced it was not clear if/when they would be available in the UK. We've spoken to Hikvision UK this afternoon to get an update, the latest information is...

    Coaxial to Ethernet adapters

Hi @Covdad If you want to upgrade to an IP NVR and keep some/all of your analog COAX cameras you would need to install Network Encoders between the cameras and the NVR to encode the analog video signal into a network data signal that the NVR can recognise. In our experience, good quality...

    IPC-B650Z Foggy Lens?

Hi @ekkostar Yes, a wipe of something like Rain X or ClearVue will reduce the chance of moisture collecting on the glass. If there isn't a fault with the camera case then following all of the above steps should keep the camera protected for many years.

    IPC-B650Z Foggy Lens?

Yes, drying it out and possibly adding additional desiccant bags will prevent it from happening again. If it does continue to happen regularly this could suggest that there is a fault with the camera's case that is letting moisture in, if the camera is within warranty you would need to speak...

    IPC-B650Z Foggy Lens?

Thanks @ekkostar This is not a tamper seal, I can clearly see the label is already split in two. This label is purely to help you align the lens cover when unscrewing and screwing back on.

    IPC-B650Z Foggy Lens?

I've never experienced a Hikvision camera that has a tamper seal, does the seal have Hikvision branding? It might have been stuck on by whoever supplied you the camera. If the only way to access the MicroSD card slot is to unscrew the front of the camera then this definitely wouldn't void...

    IPC-B650Z Foggy Lens?

Hi @ekkostar Sometimes there can be moisture trapped inside a camera when it is newly installed and this can condense in cold weather. The best way to try and remove it is to take the camera down, bring it indoors, remove the MicroSD card cover, and then leave the open camera in a warm place...

    DS-7108HGHI | H.265 | - cannot add my Ezviz CB8 to this DVR.

Okay, To manually add the cameras to the DVR you will need to know the camera's password, having a dig around the Tenda website I can't see any mention of a default password for these cameras. If there is no default password that would usually mean you have to set your own password, but I...
