7708NI-I4/8P I’d go for, others may recommended others as there are slightly later versions I believe but I only bought my 7716NI-I4 the other month so still very much for sale and I bought that based on how good the 7708NI-I4 I had was I just wanted more cameras it’s basically the same unit

Well that would replace the whole NVR the one you have listed there is an “I” series the ones that I understand work with ANPR I had mine running on 7708NI-I4 which main difference is the 4 is how many HDD and more bandwidth, I upgraded that to a 7716NI-I4 as I wanted more cameras running 6x...

You’ve got a “k” series 7704NI-“K”.... I’m 99% sure the “I” series is the lowest spec for ANPR compatibility so 7708NI-“I”.... for example, it’s the model up from the “K” series.

Yes, think the unit has flash memory so if it’s powered down long enough it will loose them, anyway people want them to to store video and they don’t. I’ve the villa 6113 which works exactly the same, their intercoms are garbage.

Before anyone wastes time, effort and money, what are you trying to achieve with the memory card? The Hikvision intercom systems even with cards installed do not record video clips for playback, the card merely stores the lowest resolution thumbnails of a photo, which the onboard memory does...

What to fix this but your camera’s cannot record or formats your HDD every 30 minutes, they’d be good updates, pretty much the only issues we’ve not seen yet.

Semi auto is the worse setting to have and causes no end of troubles, put it in manual and park a car or have your better half hold a number plate at the capture distance and then using the PTZ options change the focus until it’s at its clearest.

I have tried using Sky DNS addresses being 90.207.238.97 and 90.207.238.99 and this has not resolved it.

One thing I would ask anyone who’s having this problem is who is your internet provider? Mine is Sky, maybe the new firmware and certain internet providers are not compatible. Hikvision state the “K” series has a known problem and a full reset resolves it, “I” series don’t have a known issue and...
