My ONVIF IP camera's time is not correct - how do I fix it ?

You say that it's an IP camera - do you know the camera's IP address on your network? I've used a couple of network bird box cameras - but not this model - and accessing them isn't easy. If yours is the same, you need an old version of internet explorer - or if you only have microsoft edge, you...

Do I Need A Sim Card?

Nobody can answer your question without knowing the make and model of the camera you have. If you can provide that - someone might be able to give a more conclusive answer.

Is it possible to recover overwritten footage?

If something is truly 'overwritten' as in another file has been saved to the same space - then no. If a company has a 7 day retention 'policy' - as in they state they will only keep footage available to those that request it for 7 days - but the hard drives working in the background have...

DS-2CD2346G2-ISU/SL POE working but no network link?

What type of network cable are you using for connection? Is it a 'home-made' self-crimped cable - or a factory produced ready made cable? Is there a possibility you can get the camera next to the POE switch with a short factory made network cable and test to see if the camera will come to life...

On-monitor notifications - Hikvision - Can they be disabled?

I didn't know about clicking directly on the bell - i'll give that a go tomorrow. Getting rid of the '99' would be a start - and better than nothing :) Thanks for the info.

On-monitor notifications - Hikvision - Can they be disabled?

I think the answer is no - but I'll ask in case I'm missing anything obvious. On an I-series NVR (DS-7616NXI-12/S) - running on firmware V4.62.200 build 230105 (which I think is the latest) - when viewing the live screen feed from the NVR through an HDMI cable - is there any way to hide or...

AX PRO Hikvision AX Pro - turn off arming/disarming notifications on alarm panel and in the app?

I have my panel completely silent at all times, and have integrated an additional internal sounder. That has the ability to control arm/disarm sounds and alarm trigger audio levels. That might be the easiest solution. I have mine set to an audible beep for auto arm and auto disarm - but you can...

Interestingly I could only see your attachment when I hit reply - I can't see it just by reading your post.

'I' series NVR - setting the monitor display remotely

That's interesting - I've often wondered for example as to how they (Hik) didn't have scheduled switches linked to sunrise and sunsets - and with my owl bell cam - I would like different settings day and night. Although I know the Pi - I've never looked into one beyond knowing what it is.

'I' series NVR - setting the monitor display remotely

That would be ok I think then - not ideal - but workable - locally the monitor could be 'turned down' on the unit directly, so that although the NVR was 'Sound on' it couldn't be heard locally - just through the stream. So as long as we initially enable 'sound-on' for the most appropriate...

'I' series NVR - setting the monitor display remotely

Thanks for helping be a guinea pig :) Can I just clear it in my head? If you have a 3x3 display - and you click 'on' to sound in your browser - you say it's taking in your example sound from camera 5 - is camera 5 the first one on your screen - or the middle one as per your screen grab...

'I' series NVR - setting the monitor display remotely

Thanks for confirming - that's really helpful. Have you tried 'turning on' the sound remotely for a camera - so that it actually comes out at the monitor end? (Does that question make sense?)

'I' series NVR - setting the monitor display remotely

I have a couple of quick questions for those in the know about I series NVR's - I did a little community nature project a while ago installing cameras in the local church tower to be able to watch breeding owls. It's been amazing - and have learnt a lot from observing the first breeding season...

How many users can connect at once to an NVR?

Thanks both for your replies. I've been taking some time to consider options - and I think I might work towards a different solution. I did try streaming last year via a PC/OBS (the free streaming software) onto youtube - where I put the four RTSP camera feeds into OBS as a quad screen layout -...

How many users can connect at once to an NVR?

I was having some thoughts recently around whether the following might work. I have some community cameras watching owls, currently connected via a POE switch to an NVR - the NVR also has additional security cameras serving other purposes. The cameras watching owls are streamed via their RTSP...

Hik-connect bug - PTZ display switches to another camera when I rotate my iPhone to view full screen?

Afternoon - haven’t posted in a while - but have noticed a bug that’s a bit on the annoying side - and in case it’s not been reported or mentioned thought I’d pop it here so that it can be fed back if necessary. Device is an iPhone 13 - iOS 16.5.1 and all apps up to date. In one of the sites...
