Disabled UPNP in the NVR

Hi David, I have Set router DNS to same as NVR & camera now and rebooted both devices. No UPNP is disable on my router i can disable it on the NVR dont think it willl make a lot of difference as i have it set to manual, i am with tiscali, i have port forwarding for all ports needed on the NVR!

David couple posts up you also said about using the same DNS on the cameras, NVR and router as i have my service providers DNS setup on my router and always have done would this be a problem? I have now updated the router so all are the same.

i think it looks like it is using a dynamic IP or Multicast address?

Hi david no mine doesn't, i don't think it ever has either the status has always said not valid, maybe i have never set it up correctly in the first place and a bug in firmware has let it work before? I have changed my NVR http and https port numbers as i have other devices on my network...

I will try this today David, I will also try the factory reset, first I will just make a note of all my current settings so i can put them back. should i just do the NVR or cameras as well?

Hi Kamir thanks for the link made good reading and is the same issues as i was seeing, I could get 2-3 cameras connected then it would reboot, I managed to downgrade firmware with out to much of an issue. I think i will just leave the firmware upgrades now just to much grief, not unless serous...

Yes I do have virtual host on, interestingly while in the NVR last night I took a screenshot of the platform access page and I do have the same error code as the other poster had of 0xe0020008, now who do I contact to get this released.

My cameras are hooked up through my NVR then to the internet so no, probably would if i connected them directly to the router.

God that would be stretching my skills a bit! i am going to hook directly up to the NVR later today and see what we see in there.

I bought my whole setup about 5-7 years ago and installed it all myself and unfortunately now don't remember who i purchased it from. Lesson learnt never do firmware updates.
