how do cameras without the button get reset to factory

thats a total disgrace you dont need customers like that

phil totally agree i bet it drives you mad just a pity hikvision make it so dam difficult to find the latest firmware on their website even their check update on their NVR doesn't work

must be having a dumb moment that worked as above BUT how did i manage to update one 5 k camera using the folder method last night :-)

anyone else having issues updating to this release download the zip file extracted and digicap file is in folder log into camera and cant see the file at all as per pic one camera has updated but the other three wont also my 4k camera on front gives same error

can you log directly into the camera using its ip address you are looking at the nvr settings directly into the camera gives you more settings as per brian robinson's picture

how are you doing the factory reset pull lan cable from camera hold small button down and keep held apply lan cable still holding button down count to 10 and let button go it will now be factory reset

just noticed your ip gateway on new camera is different to your working camera ? should be 192.168.1.254

so is the camera back down from its intented location i would connect it just like when you got it and make sure you can get a picture on unit using the ip address through IE or Edge if not press button inside camera and hold and power up to get it back to its factory state then use the sadp...

sorry i meant like most other units have gone through maybe 5 or six updates since the 4.80 series this has gone up one level from .80 to .81 when other units have had .82 .83 .84 .87 .90 .91 etc as the .81 is date 21/02/17

well they updated ok :-) just wondering why the firmware is not later than the version they have

I'm looking after two of the exact same model with same firmware that appears to be newer thats on their site

Anyone help me on this one cannot find this on hikvision site for the life of me running v3.4.80 believe there is a later version DOWNLOAD PORTAL this hik site is a minefield for this particular model

i have NEVER been able to add any hikvision product using the QR code using an iPhone 8

i would certainely in this case plug the usb stick with the digicap file directly into the nvr and use a monitor and usb mouse plugged into the nvr to update the unit that way that will be the easiest and would rule out the mac being the issue

yes you can use any hik ip camera without a nvr/dvr you will need a source to power camera if you switch doesn't have POE built in or a poe injector or you could use a power supply locally to the camera location using the fly lead to power it and just run the cat5 cable to you router/switch...
