How well do Hikvision's NVR models perform 7604NI-K1(B) vs 7608NI-K2-8P vs 7608NI-I2-8P?

i do understand that the higher spec series would be better. But what’s so good about the I series? is it because its more faster? Powerful? better features? i can see that it handles more bandwidth, but with h.265+, surely the bandwidth should not be an issue if I have a k series? I see that...

How well do Hikvision's NVR models perform 7604NI-K1(B) vs 7608NI-K2-8P vs 7608NI-I2-8P?

I also wonder if the h.265+ codec is using too much cpu for video compression, but I assumed the camera’s hardware did the compression. And the Hik-Connect app did the decompression? Likewise the bandwidth can’t be an issue if it’s recorded in h.265+ as each camera is saving the file with less...

    iVMS-4500 Lite on iPad

Yes, I used to have that issue. I’ve since upgraded the NVR to v4 firmware and the green block has gone. ....however now my NVR backend crashes every 1-2 days and locks me out. I can’t login or playback via The Hik-Connect or iVMS apps! It’s been very frustrating using Hikvision software.

How well do Hikvision's NVR models perform 7604NI-K1(B) vs 7608NI-K2-8P vs 7608NI-I2-8P?

Hi folks, I currently have the 7604NI-K1(B) and it feels like the software is often buggy, likewise playback can be hit or miss on my 8mp & 6mp cameras (3 of them). it’s ok if I set the quality quite low (I have to set them with a max 3072 bitrate, and low quality video) in order for them to...

    New [76NI-K1(B)] V4.30.000_build200508 GUI 4 Firmware

I need the intrusion detection and line crossing. Going to rollback to the latest v3 build as v4 is crashing the NVR and I can’t login or replay video remotely. Yet it does still record And detect. ...it’s locking me out every 24 hours or so... Hikvision software is a nightmare. It’s hit or...

Confused about Mac browsers and Hivision nvr and cameras

As much as I hate this workaround, the best solution I’ve found for Mac is to install windows via VMware Fusion, then log into the NVR using Internet explorer within the VM.

    New [76NI-K1(B)] V4.30.000_build200508 GUI 4 Firmware

Just for info, ive upgraded to v4. My NVR is crashing every 2-3 days too. Also noticing that since the update, it’s failing to playback on the iOS apps too (both Hik-Connect and iVMS-4500). If I reboot the NVR, everything is fine for another day or so, then it starts to fail again. the app...

Hik-Connect Hik-Connect v4.1.0 launches upside down in IOS on my iPad Mini

I have the same issue on an iPad Pro 2020. Have found it tends to happen if the app is running in the background and I’ve changed rotation since last using it. So I have to close the app and reopen it. Then it works.

DS-7604NI-K1 not downloading any playback files

Upgraded it.... no difference. still the same, but when downloading the playback file, theres no error message, it just says 'downloading' and it does nothing, just sits there. There was no 'repair database' option. I think I'll try a reset to factory settings later and see if that helps...

DS-7604NI-K1 not downloading any playback files

oooh! Thanks! I completely missed that. i've been keeping an eye out for V4, but only seen V3.4.110 as the latest for the last few months. I'll see if that helps.

New 8MP Camera not giving me smooth playback / Motion Blue / Ghosting

Take a look here, it has recommended 'average bitrates' for each frame rate and resolution: https://us.hikvision.com/sites/default/files/tb/tb_bit_rate_chart_120115us_0.pdf

New 8MP Camera not giving me smooth playback / Motion Blue / Ghosting

I had the same issue, so I contacted hikvision directly, I ran it at 20fps and bitrate at 4096, then once it's smooth, try increasing the bitrate. On the higher bitrate, I do find it slower for liveview/playback as it has much bigger filesize per second to stream.

Hikvision 7604 NVR "Virtual Host" Feature disabled at reboot

It happens to me too. But my issue is slightly different. ...If I switch it on, it stays on for a a day or so, then switches itself off.

Issue with playback failing from certain time

Yes, I have tested both and iVMS-4500 on the iPad is more stable. But it still has playback issues. iPhone app has also more stable playback, but is does seem to request (or display) a lower res image as pinch to zoom is not as detailed as on the iPad. I'm also running iVMS-4200 on the Mac in...

Issue with playback failing from certain time

With highest quality & bitrate settings, a static image playback is fine, but once there's movement, it freezes and sometimes playback is missing. Hence the reason to drop the quality, however when you payback an image, you can see blurry pixels due to the compression level. Hence my mission to...

Issue with playback failing from certain time

I spoke to Hikvision support about this same issue, and it looked like the NVR was struggling with the data (maybe H.256+ encoding too intensive for the cpu?). Especially when there was movement in the image. Even though I'm running a gigabit network with CAT6 shielded to each device) and...
