If the NVR is rebooting as regularly as say it might be difficult to log in (with a browser or direct monitor) and confirm the firmware version.
If you can't get the system > Basic Information menu before the NVR reboots, the other option would be to use the Hikvision SADP Tool to check the...
Hi @davidoc
Did the restarting/rebooting just start out of nowhere or did it start happening after updating the NVR firmware? If it was after updating the firmware, can you please confirm the firmware version you updated to?
Hi @ian1975
You update the firmware by logging into the NVR with a browser, you can find the NVR IP address using the SADP Tool.
See the guide I linked you to in my last post for more detailed instructions on updating firmware.
Thanks @mrjonesss
The latest firmware for the DS-7604NI-K1/4P(B) is V4.30.096_build221220
Are the cameras plugged directly into the PoE ports on the NVR or are they connected over the local network using a separate PoE Switch/Injector?
Thanks @ian1975
Below are the firmware updates available for your models:
NVR: V4.76.015 // V4.82.100_240606 (update to the V4.76 firmware first and then update to the latest V4.82 firmware)
Cameras: V5.7.17_240606 (the page linked here is for the 2543G2, but the 2387G2 also use the same...
Hi @mrjonesss
If this one camera has been playing up for years then it probably is more likely a fault with the camera, but please do confirm the model number and the current firmware of that camera because very old firmware can also cause weird, glitch behaviour.
Hi @mrjonesss
When you can, can you please confirm the model numbers for the NVR and cameras?
If the 8MP cameras are newer AcuSense/ColorVu cameras then it could potentially be a bandwidth issue as the 4-ch Hikvision NVRs usually don't have enough bandwidth to manage multiple 8MP...
Possibly, but as I said above, we've never worked with these 1-series cameras before so we don't know if this feature is supported even if connected to an NVR.
You'd probably be best off contacting/emailing the supplier you plan to source the NVR from and see if they can confirm with Hikvision...
Hi @Mihael
We've never been hands-on with these entry-level 1-series cameras but as far as we are aware, the ability to mark 'Human' & 'Vehicle' event triggers is only supported by higher spec NVR models and not on cameras recording to MicroSD cards.
Thanks @Mihael
Apologies, I completely missed that screenshot.
Try updating the camera to the latest firmware - 5.8.0_231108
Yes, your model is an entry-level 1-series camera so only supports Basic Motion Detection. We often say that Motion Detection is a bit of a blunt tool and that you can...
Hi @Mihael
Can you please confirm the current firmware version that the camera is using and the 'Firmware Version Property' of the camera? (both of these can be found by going to Configuration > System > System Settings > Basic Information)
Thanks @jos
That is very strange, what firmware version is your camera currently using? (you can find this under Configuration > System > Basic Information)
Hi @amilek
The Hybrid Light Technology used by the 1047G2H-LIU(F) model is brand new so I would not expect this model to be obsolete, it is more likely that this model is so new that Hikvision hasn't yet released any new firmware and that the firmware they come pre-installed with is the latest...
Thanks @jos
Those event and storage schedule settings all look correct (although you can disable "Scene Change Detection" as this has nothing to do with Motion Detection).
Can you please share a screenshot of your playback timeline showing both daytime and nighttime periods? Do you actually...
Hi @Jdmspec
There is actually a slightly newer firmware version for this PTZ model - V5.8.0_231109 - the missing auto-tracking settings could be a glitch with your current firmware that might have been patched with this latest build of the firmware.
Hi @ian1975
If you take the NVRs IP address (which you can find in the network settings using the direct monitor) and enter it into the address bar in your browser you should be taken to the NVR login page.
Once you've logged into the NVR, you can go to Configuration > System > Basic...
Hi @davenel
The DS-2CD2T87G2P-LSU/SL you have has never supported Hybrid Light (e.g. both IR & White Light LEDs), this model has always been just a ColorVu model that only supports White Light LEDs for achieving a colour image at night (it does not support an IR/Black & White image)...
