I’ve got a single 2386G2 connected to a 7616NXI-I2 that I’m playing with while I install the rest of the hardware.
When I select Vehicle detection in the web client, a message comes up saying ‘Camera does not support this function’
Same with Human detection

I’ve done a lot of searching and can’t find anything on it.

what am I missing here guys?

Is this the h.265+ effect?
h.265+ is THE most efficient CODEC, but also therefore the most processor / memory intensive for the camera to deliver.
When you select h.265+ it warns that some functions will no longer be available with that CODEC in use.
Try with a lesser CODEC.
Just my first thought ...

Hi @Spanners

Can you also clarify which NVR you have please - is it the DS-7616NXI-I2 or the iDS-7616NXI-I2?

Sorry for the delayed response.

I'm afraid that your NVR does not support Vehicle Detection on its own - you need to use an ANPR camera to be able to use that menu.

As it is an Acusense NVR, you can set up events (e.g. motion detection, line crossing and intrusion detection) to detect vehicles only and ignore any other movement. However, this will not read and keep a log of number plates.
