ANPR Allowlist - NVR or web browser input?

Hi all.
I have a Hikvision ANPR camera & Hikvision NVR. I am currently inputing plate numbers in both the NVR allowlist & Web browser list as I do not know which takes precedent. Ideally I would like to use only the browser as I can add numbers remotely. Can I simply leave the NVR allowlist empty?

Lots of details missing here, broadly I’ve found if you have 2CD4A25FWD or 2CD4A26FWD you enter them on the NVR and get email notification if you have the later 2CD7A27 bla bla /P 7 Line you have to enter them in the camera and get an app notification

Hi, thanks for your response, completely new to this forum, The camera is a iDS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHSY & the NVR is a DS7608NI-12/8.

Does this mean I can forget about entering plate numbers on the NVR??
