HikVision devices provide two ways of viewing your playback. You can choose either a 'quick view', which will give you the last 5 minutes of recorded footage, or 'normal playback' which will allow you to choose a specific date and time.

To access quick playback, left click on the screen. This will bring up a toolbar and from here you can view the last 5 minutes by clicking the green play button.

You will now be in the quick playback screen. This has very basic functionality, as you can only pause and skip through the footage.

If you would like to access a fully functional playback, just exit the quick playback screen to return to the main screen. Now right click and select the ‘Menu’ option. Now select the ‘Playback’ option.

You will now be on the normal playback screen.

From here, you can choose how many cameras you would like to view using the 8 ‘D' tabs at the top of the screen. (For this demonstration we will only viewing one.) You can also choose the date and time which you would like to view.

You can add more cameras to view in the playback mode by putting the mouse to the far right of the screen. A window will open from which you can select more cameras to view.
