My basic question is: What is a good value brand or brands to look at for a home 4 camera PoE system?
I have loads of experience with "proper" HikVision systems on large sites and a tiny bit of experience with a small Dahua system, but a friend has asked me to look into a replacement for an old faulty Sansco co-ax system they have at home.
I can install it and set it up but my thoughts are that a HikVision system is going to be very expensive for a basic non-tech home user. The cheapo Sansco was probably £200 all-in! Is there a good value brand that isn't some nonsense from Amazon?
Factors are:
1) Low cost.
2) Ease of use and good simple phone/tablet apps.
3) Remote access on phone/tablet apps without subscription.
Anything fit the bill?
