Well I made a pretty bad mistake, hoping someone might have some advice. I fitted a new DS-2SE7C432MW-AEB 14F1 P3 TandemVu speed dome camera. I was having trouble with the calibration tab not showing up on the web interface and leaving me unable to use any of the tracking features. I decided to upgrade the firmware on the camera (I know, probably a silly idea) from the UK portal (correct me if I'm wrong with the one I chose) Home » portal » Product Firmware » Hikvision » 03 Front Ends » Speed Dome (PTZ) » TandemVu PTZ » G5H8(DS-2SE7CXXX(P3)) » 5.7.11.
And what great timing an RCD tripped during the upgrade and seems to have all but bricked the camera. The camera is plugged directly into my network switch along with my PC, and is powered via a POE injector, when powered up the camera makes a slight noise for a couple seconds but nothing much else. Camera is not visible in SAPD. physical reset button makes no difference. I've attempted to flash the same firmware using tftp, which seems to connect to the camera but with errors, albeit on the IP 192.168.1.70, whereas I was expecting a .68, tftp attempts to upload the firmware and shows start file, transmitting, but never gets any further in any given time. I've ordered a replacement camera to get by for now, but of course I'd like to get this one back up and running... if possible. Any advice appreciated. I've also found the camera model on the hikvision website and under resources downloaded a Firmware_V5.8.0_240807. Although same outcome. I've also since tried using the python method, which seems to connect to the camera and send a good amount of the firmware, but then it tries to send another load and just gets stuck. I did manage to get it to show the unexpected handshake bytes but it seems to have made no difference to the camera booting.
