Camera firmware update

Is there any way to update the camera firmware (or even check if it is current) when using it with an embedded/plug&play NVR? The DS-7604NI-K1-4P doesn't appear to support the virtual host functionality, and the cameras are in a separate private subnet, so not accessible from the rest of the network. I can't find any way to update the camera firmware through the web or iVMS interfaces.

If you connect a monitor and mouse to the NVR, you can upgrade the cameras via the NVRs local GUI.

Connect a USB stick to the NVR with the camera's firmware loaded in the root directory.
Navigate to Menu >> Camera and click on the Upgrade blue arrow for any camera you want to update.
