Camera offline (parameter failure)

English is my 2nd language, so I apologize for misspellings and so on...

I have a NVR model DS-7608NI-SE/P (just got it, a used model from my company)
The camera is model DS-2CD2742FWD-IZS

When I connect a monitor directly on my NVR I get a picture from my camera (only refresches every 10 seconds or so, but thats secondary)
But when I connect to the NVR from my PC, I can't get a live view and in the configuration it says "Offline (parameter failure)"

WHY???

The external IP address for the NVR is 192.168.1.200
The internal IP for the cameras is 192.168.254.2 and so forth
The connected camera IP is 192.168.254.2

When I connect my PC directly to the camera (by a POE switch), I get a perfect live view and full control of the camera (PTZ and everything)

Been trying to solve this mystery for two nights now :-(
My plan is when everything works, that no monitor are connected and only remote access by PC

Problem fixed

I had to set the camera resolution to the minimum 1280x720.
Now its online via remote access to the NVR and the picture is fluent.
