Hi all
I currently have a Hikvision setup consisting of the following:
5 x Hikvision DS-2CD2142FWD-I (3 x 2.8mm and 2 x 4mm) with junction boxes
1 x DS-7608NI-E2/8P/A + 2 x 2TB WD purple drives
The night footage is awful, which I understand is the IR reflection on the Dome cameras, so, I would like to upgrade to resolve the problem.
The house is a bungalow, so the cameras are mounted on the external wall between 2.7m (3x2.8mm ones) and 3.5m (2x4mm ones) from the ground.
I intend to purchase another camera to make 6.
Attached is a PDF of the current locations and intended location of the new one, with approx site lines.
Which cameras / NVR should i go for, and, should I change them all for 4mm focal, in place of 2.8mm for greater detail?
