Can I access ACTi cameras with any browser?

...and this is still the case. 
It's because the camera firmware uses Active-X, which is a Microsoft-branded application, and they don't like other people being able to use it. I use Firefox and have spent a lot of time trying to find a way around it, to no avail. There have been work arounds for several browsers over the years but they disappear - MS legal dept? My solution - I have a single use IE version 11 icon which I only use for my camera, an obsolete D72, but it works.
