Can I search for motion on specific pixels?

I have a camera that captures my parking lot but also gets a lot of noise/motion from the adjacent street. I had an incident where a large truck/can ran into our bridge, so I would like to search a particular set of pixels to help me narrow down when the incident occurred. Is there a way to do this?

Specific set of pixels/zone that I want to search is shown in photo here. I use IVMS-4500 and HikConnect.

Thx!

Adam

Hi David,

NVR model is ds9632ni-i8. I’ve been looking the camera model number in software, but can’t seem to locate it anywhere. Firmware in screen shot attached. It’s a brand new system. Installed within the last year.

When I select VCA from the settings/config, it says “this feature is not available on this camera”. But I do have “dual vca” enabled for the cameras. And yes it records 24/7.

Is “VCA” the feature that would allow me to do this type of specific playback searching? I’ll read up on the thread you sent along.

Appreciate your help.

Adam

Hi Adam, firmware is old, there maybe updates available.

Video Content Analysis (VCA), I use it on my NVR (7608-I) to check for activity outside the intrusion zone. I usually use it when neighbours ask me to check if my cameras caught anything, to date it has worked very well. The main thing is to record 24/7.

I am not familiar with that model of NVR but suspect that it should be able to do what you want, as long as it is setup right.

Download and run the SADP tool and see if that finds your cameras.
