Dahua-imou compatibility?

Hi guys. I have several Imou cameras and I use Imou app. I need to buy a Poe camera but Imou has few of them. If I buy a dahua camera can I add to my Imou account?

Viceversa, if dahua hardware don't work with Imou app, can I add Imou cameras to dahua app?

In most cases, it is not possible to add one brand's cameras directly to another brand's app, this is because most of them use their own unique P2P methods that are not compatible with other brands.

Usually, you would add 3rd-party cameras to an app via an NVR from the same brand as the app, but in the case of Imou they don't have NVRs as part of their product range.

As far as we know, I don't think it will be possible to integrate Imou & Dahua on the same app.

BTW Imou is a sub-brand of Dahua.

Much like EzViz is to Hikvision.

But IDK whether there's any ability to have them work together.
Hopefully somebody will have tried it and be able to comment

doh, I always forget this

As a sub-brand it might work, I believe it does work for the Hikvision/Ezviz apps but can't say for sure with Dahua/Imou as we've never spent that much time with their apps.
