Disk is full, and old files will not be overwritten (DS-2DE4A220IW-DE IP DOME)

Hi.

I have the DS-2DE4A220IW-DE IP-Dome camera.

Problem is... once the SD card is full, the oldest files will not be overwritten. So it will never record anything anymore. I need to format the disk.

Is there anything I can do so that the oldest files will be overwritten automatically?

When the disk gets full it'll always be full - but it'll also re-write over the oldest files. It doesn't empty every time it gets full if that's what you're thinking. Test it so you can see it's working - find the oldest file today - and then after running for 24 hours - find the oldest file tomorrow - it should be a different day/time on the recorded image.

As I just formatted the SD card.
And... for whatever reason formatting the SD card only worked after the 3rd try. (it stopped with an error message)
Now it's working again. Hmm.
