Drawing a motion detection area with my HiLook cameras?

Can anyone please help me with my Hikvision HiLook CCTV system, I can’t get the motion area right, it says draw a line, it never works, why do they say do this do that and it doesn’t work, the old square system was better

We don't have a huge amount of experience with the HiLook products, but we assume this method for drawing the event area is the same as some of the Hikvision products.

It is not very intuitive and Hikvision doesn't explain it very well, you need to left-click at least 3 points to mark out your area and then right-click to complete the area.
