DS-2CD2387G2-LSU/SL - intrusion detection not working at night time?

Hi,
I'm running version V5.7.12 build 221201, camera is all setup and working fine, notifications and strobe light working fine during the day, but at night time, i just can't seem to get it to trigger the camera, even if i go close to it.

my arming schedule is the same as it is in the day and night.

any ideas on this please?

Are you using an NVR?

There's a slightly newer build version of the firmware available here (V5.7.12_230131):

its a standalone system.
i've managed to get it to work but it's a very bizarre fix.
regards the attached picture, originally i had it to to alarm from 00:00-08:00 and then from 18:00-24:00.
i've changed it so it's 24/7 now and now the intrusion detection is working at night, haven't tested it properly, but now it alerted when i stepped onto the driveway.
