Any videos from this camera at night to so what the ir is like in an unlit area ?

Sorry, we haven't produced any demo videos of that particular camera.
It's a G1 Family camera (all models end with a 5), so would perform similarly to other cameras from that series shown at our YouTube channel.

It's OK to use a TV.
As long as you can connect it to your NVR's video output e.g. typicall HDMI.
You'll then need to select the appropriate HDMI input to your TV (using your TV's remote control) to view your CCTV/NVR on your TV.
