Hi all new to this world of Hikvision cameras but have got the basics up and running for the past year or so. I have Hikvision nvr model DS-7604NI-K1-4P on version 4.32.110 build 211009 with 4 Hikvision cameras attached. I receive all notifications etc in that sense it’s fine and live view is fine. All cameras are set to record continuously. Camera 1 is fine I have continuous recording going back weeks, now the other 3 cameras only record the past 40 or so minutes and there is no playback for video older than 40 mins. I’ve checked all basic settings like continuous recording etc and all is ok rebooted nvr and cameras. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Nothing coming immediately to mind.
Are all four cameras the same model?
What model number please?
And the firmware versions on the cameras?

It could be the time settings on the NVR being wrong too - if this doesn't match the cameras, it can cause footage to look like it doesn't exist!

Do you have this set correctly for your region?

The easiest thing to do is probably log into your NVR in a web browser using its IP address, go to System>System Settings>Time Settings, and tick "sync with computer time" under manual time sync.

Hi thanks for your replies all 4 cameras are the same Hikvision DS-2CD2347G2-LU, firmware 5.7.2 build 211228, firmware property C-R-G5-0. I have just tried sync time with computer it says succeeded in the bottom of corner but if I click off it go back to time settings the sync time computer box has no blue tick device time is different to the time next to check box which is frozen to last time I pressed sync. Any ideas

It may be a compatibility issue with the browser interface on your phone, access this way can be problematic.

It looks like you're in the UK, so try these settings (you may need to do it on the NVR's direct interface):

If that doesn't fix things, can you please share screenshots of the recording schedule for every camera, as well as the advanced schedule settings?

Also, try updating your cameras to the latest firmware before anything else :)

V5.7.12_221201, at the bottom of this page:

If they're connected directly to your NVR, you will first need to enable Virtual Host on he NVR so that you can connect to them directly (in a browser, from a PC):

And then follow these steps:
How-to: - Part 8: How do I update the firmware on my Hikvision device?

I think your NVR is quite far behind on the firmware too, try updating that to V4.72.107_220914 from here:

I’ve upgrade both nvr and cameras to the latest firmware as recommended by Kyle, I’ve attached a screenshot of the time settings that have now been applied to the nvr. Do you have to do this for each camera as well via virtual host web page or just the nvr and setting applies to the cameras as well via nvr settings, as cameras via virtual host are still synced to manual time. See screen shots attached. I’ll report back soon see if nvr stores the video

If the camera is directly connected to the NVR via its PoE ports, then you won't need to do anything to the time settings, as they sync automatically with the NVR.

If they are connected via a POE switch or injector, then set the time on them exactly as you've done on the NVR.

Hi no joy after updating everything as recommended, still camera 1 records everything as all are set to continuous recording and have previous days video. Other 3 cameras only recording between 40 mins to 2 hours of footage and then over writing no footage exists. All 4 cameras are connected directly to the rear of the 4 channel nvr. I’ve attached all the schedule settings for recording and advanced setting for each camera I did this just through nvr for each camera. I’ve also attached screenshot of what I’m receiving via playback on the hik app for the 3 cameras not recording footage. Thanks for your help

Thanks for the screenshots, it's a strange one.
Can you please confirm which iOS version of the app you're using?

Also, to rule out any mobile browser / app issues, could you also please check the recordings and schedules on the NVR directly (via a directly connected monitor and mouse), or from a PC in Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode (whichever is easiest)?
