Hi all,

I have hikvision ds-7608ni-i2/8p nvr with 6 cameras attached - each camera is 5mp of variant DS-2CD3T56G2-ISU/SL.
All working good at the moment - we use a laptop on local network to monitor the camera feed.
But now we want to monitor via a tv of 17 inch.

Now from nvr to tv we have laid down 2 pair of cat6 cable.

Please advise us with good quality hdmi to cat6 extender?
Also advise us if the nvr ds-7608ni-i2/8p can use mouse over hdmi?

Since we have two pair of cat6 cable laid, so we are ok to use a dedicate cat6 cable for mouse?

At the moment the tv is 17 inch with hdmi but we may upgrade in future.

Also our focus is flicker free view of camera feed.

Regarding budget we just want to spend what is worth not overspend neither underspend

Sorry, no - we haven't used it.

@Kyle is going to dig-out the info on a device that a customer used and was very pleased with :)

This is the one we've supplied and have received great feedback for:

It's one of the few that supports PoE and can extend 4K (up-to 50m).
It also has 2 USB ports built-in, so you can use a mouse and keyboard over the same Cat6 cable run.

Thank you. By any chance do you have data if hikvision nvr specifically ds-7608ni-i2/8p compatibility?

No, we have not used it specifically with that NVR, but we would not anticipate any problems.

These work perfectly, use them all the time, never had a problem.
Resolution is 1920 also if length between nvr and monitor is shorter than 40 metres.

These mouse extenders work well as well.
You will find if you don't use mouse for say a week, just unplug one end and it will work again.
They fall asleep when not used
