Hi. I have this system .

Hikvision DS2CD2387G2LSU/SL 8MP ColorVu Network Turret Camera With Live Guard

Hikvision DS7616NIM2/16P 16channel 8K MSeries Network Video Recorder

It’s all set to factory settings. I do get some motion blur on playback. Not to clued up with cctv systems. What’s the best settings to have these kind of cameras set to?

The system is about 2 years old not updated it. Not sure if it would need updating ? Sorry sounding dumb these things are complicated lol.

Hi @Kilojade

What firmware versions are the NVR and camera currently using?
In the image settings for the camera, what exposure time is the camera currently using?

Hi, exposure was 1/25 but I just changed it to 1/50 seems abit better.

Thanks @Kilojade

The latest firmware versions are below:

NVR - V4.63.020_230808
Camera - V5.7.13_230706

using a faster exposure time/shutter speed like 1/25 or 1/50 will have the greatest impact on reducing motion blur, but you can also try disabling image settings like DNR, WDR, HLC, etc... to make further small improvements.

Ok thanks mate. What settings make it less jittery? Like if a person walks past it’s not smooth just abit jittery.
