Hello,does anyone have experience with the HIK Vision Web UI bugs of different cameras or recorders ?
This NVR model:
DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/4S
uses web server version
V4.5.0 build 20231113
There a secure connection works by mapping port 7862 to 7861, because browsers like Chrome or Edge can then establish a secure connection for Live View
But older versions like this model:
DS-7608NXI-I2 / S
cannot do this. The latest available firmware is:
V4.40.416 build 210108
Web version: V4.0.1 build 200803
There the Javascript client of HIKVision tries to establish a secure connection but uses ws:// instead of wss:// as protocol and this is an obvious software bug.
Has anyone tried to install a newer firmware than the one displayed by HIKVision via the serial number?
There is a much newer firmware version on public pages

However, an E-model is also listed there:
DS-7608NXI-I2/S(E)
