Firmware that provides Firefox / Chrome browser support for my Hikvision IP cameras?

Hi,

I have the DS-2CD2347G1-L and the DS-2CD2143G0-I camera (US). They are running the latest firmware listed on the site, IPC_G1_EN_STD_5.6.3_190923. Is there going to be a newer firmware that doesn't require plugins and or IE11?

Hi @MikeD76

The latest firmware for both those models on the UK/EU portals is v5.6.5 which supports a plugin-free solution for these cameras, but I am not 100% sure whether this firmware will work for your US models.

Why would they not update the firmware for the US version?

We are a UK-based company so we have no experience with Hikvision USA and thus can't be sure why cameras in their region may not support this newer firmware, you will need to speak to Hikvision USA Support and see if they can confirm if the camera will or won't support this newer firmware.
