Hik-Connect Hik-connect configure DDNS

Hey all,

quick question, what is the "Configure DDNS" settings option on the hik-connect app. This is needed prior to "Remote Configuration" it seems.. just not sure what this option is/does?

It basically allows you to remotely manage your NVR.. as you would if you connected to it through it's IP address on the local network.

I see - so this creates a dynamic ddns in the background?

Also After "DDNS being enabled, the devices will be accessed via IP address in priority" - what does this mean?
