Hik-Connect Hik Connect Not Launching on Android Phone?

Trying to launch live view and getting an error that says "Something went wrong with Hik-Connect" "Try updating this app after its developer provides a fix for this error.
Then i cleared the Cache and now it just doesn't launch at all.

Any help is greatly appreciated

No other reports of similar from others, so far.
What is the make and model of your phone please?
Have you downloaded the latest version of the App from Hikvision's App Store?
(make sure you select Android at the top-left)

Had a hard time trying to find the option to update to the latest version.
Nonetheless, I found it and its working now.
