Hik-Connect Hik connect slow playback?

Hi guys

Noticing it’s super slow to load the playback timeline on my hik connect app, seems more apparent on my 8mp colorvu camera

Using the 7608NI-M2 NVR on the most recent firmware.

Is there any settings that I can change etc to help with this?

No such thing! There are regular updates so it's only the 'latest' version briefly.

As of now 'latest' is 5.02.008_240425 with Hik-Connect at 6.3.0.20240424.2

The slow loading timeline has been around for a while. It had improved but newer versions have made it worse again for me. Sometimes it seems to be worse on cameras needing to load a lot of events (green markers) into the timeline but not always. I've just tried 4 different 8MP cameras and got timeline loads of 12, 1, 14 & 3 seconds. That does roughly correlate to activity on those cameras.

It's pretty crap and bordering on unusable; unfortunately there's no setting that will improve it and we're reliant on Hikvision fixing it. It is the M series at fault again as I can load the same model cameras in Hik-Connect on an 6 year old K series (that supports event markers) and the timeline populates instantly...

I've got the same if not similar issue, my 2 x ip cameras take on average 10 seconds to load. Sometimes one of them doesn't even make it to 100%. Is there no fix for these? My other 6 cameras work and load fine
