Hi, I have an ip camera ds-2cd2120f-i and I would like details about the 4-pin plug on the board. What it is used for. Is it possible to connect the camera to the av in?

I can't remember for that model, but I'm pretty sure it's just for a serial data (RS232) connection. I think it was only the varifocal (2.8 - 12mm) lens models that had an additional connector on the board for video out. It could be enabled/disabled in the camera video settings menu and the camera was supplied with a short cable with the plug (2 pin) on one end and female BNC on the other.
