HIKVISION INTERCOM TO RECORD ON NVR

I currently have a HIKVISON DS-7616NXI-2-16P NVR which i have just connected a gen 2 intercom to.

I can view live stream on IVMS-4200 and on my hikconnect app but I cannot get it to record from the intercom camera.

When I select basic settings for the camera on IVMS-4200 it comes up with a page displaying "Failed to connect to device, reopen the window"

The intercom works on the indoor screen and on my mobile phone but just cannot get it to record on my nvr.

Any idea would be great.

Is the intercom already connected to the NVR and visible on the NVR device list/Live View?

If it is then all you should have to do is go to Storage > Storage Schedule > Record Schedule in the NVR menus and select the intercom channel from the dropdown in the top left and then set the schedule for how you want it to record.
