Hikvision NVR & G3 Camera Firmware Upgrade - Backup Settings?

I will be updating a Hikvision DS-7616NXI-I2/16P/4S NVR, currently running V4.1.16 build 190621 firmware; and DS-2CD2386G2-IU cameras, currently running V4.1.16 build 190621 firmware.

Will the firmware update wipe all NVR and camera settings (i.e. intrusion zones, lines, etc.)? If so, can these be backed up and restored following the firmware upgrade?

Yes, you can backup the config, and restore later if necessary.

Normal step-updates do not wipe the settings.
