Hikvision NVR & Hilook cameras - Line crossing via ONVIF?

Morning Everyone,

Does anyone know/tried using HiLook cameras on a Hikvsion NVR that allows the smart event line crossing via ONVIF.

Generally speaking when you import cameras via ONVIF it does not allow for smart events. But considering HiLook is a partner and made by the same company Hikvison if
I am not mistaken it might work. Does anyone have experience with this?

The trouble I am running into is one of my friends purchased a 32 Chanel HiLook NVR only after releasing that the NVR only allows for 4 cameras to have smart events. The NVR puts the limit. Rather than a Hikvision NVR does not have this limit but I am not sure if the line crossing will still work using HiLook cameras.

As far as we are aware, it should be possible to add HiLook cameras to a Hikvision NVR as Hikvision cameras (rather than ONVIF) and all functionality of the HiLook cameras should be supported. We haven't actually tested this ourselves but based on accounts from other users I believe this is correct.
