Hi, I was wondering if virtual host can be used or some kind of IP subnet/port forwarding to allow a Wifi extender to be run from my Poe switch that is connected to my DS-7608NI-K2-8P NVR..
I have extended 100m + from the NVR and now would like to add a wifi extender to the set up for a Ring Pro door bell on a main entrance gate, I am trying to avoid another 100m+ run in cable to power the extender straight from the Router.
This is the setup If possible, The Wireless extender needs to find the internet via the Poe+ switch connected to Port 5 of the NVR, So I would need it to either be on the main subnet of 192.168.0.XXX which the Router DHCP assigns, rather than the 192.168.1.XXX which ive set up on the NVR for a subnet.
Will the Virtual Host allow the Wireless AP to route through to the internet in this way or am I going to be running another 100m cable?
