Here's how to update the firmware of your Milesight cameras using a browser, all in an easy step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Create an account on our forum, login to the account, and click the resources tab at the top of the forum
Step 2: Click the Milesight Camera tab on the left of the page and then select the firmware version that corresponds to the Milesight model you have (Camera Firmware A/B/C)
Step 3: Download the firmware and extract/unzip the file to a folder on your computer that can be easily found
Step 4: Open a browser (IE/Safari) and enter the IP address of the camera you want to update into the address bar and hit enter, when the page loads enter your username and password and login to the camera
Step 5: Click Configuration and then open the Maintenance tab
Step 6: Click the "choose file" button (3rd from the top under the 'System Upgrade' header) and navigate to the folder with the firmware file
Step 7: Select the firmware file and then click the Upgrade button (Do NOT tick the 'Reset after Upgrading' box unless you are happy with all your settings to be returned to default)
Step 8: Click the reboot button when the update is completed

When the reboot completes the code next to the words 'Software Version' should now match that of the firmware version you just installed, if this is not the case you may need to log out and back into the camera to see this number change.

If you need to update the firmware of a Milesight NVR the steps are almost exactly the same, the only difference is Steps 5 & 6, with NVR when you log in you will want to click 'Settings' from the menu on the left of your browser window. A secondary menu will then appear and you will want to click the 'System' tab at the bottom of the list, a final menu will appear from which you will pick the 'Maintenance' tab which will bring you to a page very similar to the camera maintenance page, the only difference is that the "browse" button is at the bottom of the page, not the top.

See below a screenshot of the System Upgrade page when you log in to a camera or NVR via browser:
