hello i want to show a live view from vlc with rtsp url like "rtsp://<username>:<password>@<address>:<port>/Streaming/Channels/<id>" but it can not connect to this static ip
and throw the error can not open the input
then when i use this url with http http://<ip>/ISAPI/Streaming/Channels/101/picture
it ask me to enter the username and password which means that it is connected to the ip but also throw the error can not open the input
what is the solution please ?
and can i show a live stream with http or not ?

rtsp://<username>:<password>@<address>:<port>/Streaming/Channels/<id>
That is the correct url for opening an RTSP stream for a camera connected to an NVR. Remember that <port> is the RTSP port (554 by default) and that if you're trying to connect remotely, from outside of the network to which the NVR is connected, that RTSP port must be forwarded in your router to the local address of the NVR.

http://<ip>/ISAPI/Streaming/Channels/101/picture

This will not work in vlc, but will work from a web browser. Unlike the RTSP stream it just presents a static image.

I've just tried both of the above with one of my cameras that's connected to an NVR. It worked with both the local address while connected to WiFi and also using the external address of the router (tethered my MacBook to 4G on my phone using personal hotspot). I'm using Safari as my web browser so you may get different results depending on which web browser you are using.
