Is it possible to connect a wifi extender to a spare POE port on my NVR?

I am asking if its possible to add a wifi extender to a spare port on my DS-7616NI-I2/16P as I have a wifi camera that I want to connect back to the NVR but keep it off my normal network and allow it to connect direct to the nvr on its own subnet? Thanks in advance

@delboydell if you are connecting to a port on the back of the NVR I would say no, wifi Extenders usually connect to an Access Point and not the client (your Wi-fi camera). you could add a Wi-fi access point to your wan and connect the camera to that. Then add that cameras IP address to the spare NVR camera channel.
