Hi All
I have a HikVision IP camera setup (6x ColorVu DS-2CD2347G2’s connected to a DS-7608NXI NVR with all successfully running motion detection) and am interested to get my camera setup working with my Alexa for the following:
I’ve done a little reading and understand that Monocle Gateway is required. Is this other’s understanding too to get the above functionality?
If my understanding’s correct, I’ve read that an option would be to run Monocle Gateway via a Raspberry Pi. If this is required/recommended, any idea of specs required for a Raspberry Pi to run Monocle Gateway full time (Pi 3 vs Pi 4) and any idea of the Pi’s RAM requirements to delivery good results?
Other ideas/suggestions welcome to get the above working.
Thanks

- Announcing motion detection notifications.
- Live camera viewing via Alexa Show.
- Motion detection triggering downstairs lights to turn on via smart plugs, i.e. late at night.
