I have a DS-KD8003 doorbell installed outside my door and have an electric strike connected to it.
I was wondering if this solution is safe.
Basically, anyone can come in and take the cover off and pull the DS-KD8003 out of the box. Then they simply switch the NC1 or NO1 contact and the electric strike opens.
Has anyone figured out how to make this more secure?

For most intercoms the lock output is contained within the door station like this. If that's a security issue for you, you would need another solution where the strike is switched from a source inside the premises. I think it unlikely that someone would bother to interfere with it but an electric strike is not particularly secure anyway.

They dont even need to pull out your unit, a strong magnet will work faster, better and less messy :)

But there is a security module you could connect to your door station DS-K2M060 or DS-K2M061. It connects via rs485 to door station, and lock is connected to security module which is inside the premises.
In that case Door station relay is unusable and there are no physical wires that go to electric bolt which could be tampered with.

Thank you. I was just wondering how easy it was to open the door without authorization thanks to the wiring I mentioned.

I'll look into the security module. Thanks
