Hoping someone can help. I am in no way tech minded but can do basics. My Hikvision CCTV box has been replaced as it was faulty. I can view on my tv and mobile phone no problem but can longer view on my laptop. I have installed the app on my laptop and it detects the CCTV. When I try to add the camera it tells me the registered user does not have permission. I have tried asking my installer but he's not much use, as he's lost his tech guy. Any ideas would be great. Try this:
Click Account Management>Add. Create a user with type Administrator, set the User Name to: admin and use the same password as the DVR's admin account.
Once you have created the admin account, click the account drop-down at the top right and select Switch User.
iVMS will ask you to log in again. Use the admin account details you created and tick the Auto-Login box.
Try add the DVR again and see if it works.
