Line crossing detecting human arm

I setup line detection in my front porch to detect humans. It works fairly well with no false positives. However, there have been theft cases where a human did not pass but just reached in with his arm and stole a few items.

I guess i can disable the human checkbox. Will this make me catch humans reaching in with their arms? Will this also add a lot of false positives for shadows etc.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Leave the Human checkbox enabled, move the line further out so that the human has to pass it before they're close enough to reach in (Unless it's Reed Richards aka Mr Fantastic):
