Just a quick note to let you know that in the next few days we will be updating this forum to a newly released latest version

XenForo 2.2.0 & Add-ons Released

This work is carried-out for us by a specialist developer, but still the possibility of a few bumps in the road

Step one was just completed - we are now running the newest version

We haven't made any custom changes so far - everything is at default, but the first handy new thing that I've spotted is the "Similar Threads" shown at the bottom of the page whenever you view a thread. That looks as if it might work well when you are searching for clues to solve an issue
