Moving HDDs to new NVR?

I'm about to swap my DS-7608NI-I2/8P for the new DS-7608NI-M2/8P.
If I swap the HDDs over, will all the recordings be available to the new NVR or must they be re-formatted?

Hi @CaptainSensible

It is likely the case that you will have to format the HDD when moving them to a new NVR, we usually recommend that if there is any footage you want to hang on to you should download it before moving the HDDs.
