Hello, I own self storage facilities. The one facility is roughly 4 acres. When I started building I developed 2 acres. I installed a Lorex POE system. I just finished the other 2 acres. Because this part was already paved, I put a second electrical service in since I didn’t want to have to saw cut and dig up the pavement.
I am installing additional POE cameras. My question is, is there anything I can buy to connect the cameras wirelessly to the existing system. (I purchased an additional Lorex system since it’s cheaper than buying the cameras separately) I can add another switch for these cameras. I’m wondering if I could use some type of WiFi extender from the office area to get access over to the other area (around 800-900 LF)
What would everyone recommend? I have the second DVR system that worst case scenario is I just need to have the Internet provider drop a second service to the new DVR but I would rather have it on the same system if possible.
The new cameras system I purchased is (which I bought mainly for cameras)
I am currently running 3 switches. Two are in actual storage unit buildings and the 3rd is in the office with the DVR. I currently have 24 cameras running and adding 8 or so more.
