Milesight have recently released a version of their popular CMS for Mac users, we know there are a few Milesight/Mac users out there that have had issues with Milesight cameras/NVRs on MacOS so hopefully with the introduction of this simple and easy to use free software the operation of a Milesight system will be made much easier for Mac users. See some screenshots of the Milesight CMS below and download it for yourself by clicking here:
(Milesight currently still uses a default login when you first install - username: admin / Password: password - please change this to a unique password after you have logged in for the first time)
Traditionally a CMS (Central Management Software) is used for large scale systems where you have multiple NVRs and a large number of cameras, but what Milesight have done is actually design an all-in-one software that can be used with a single NVR or a small number of cameras like a VMS or with many NVRs and/or individual cameras like a traditional CMS. We have only just installed this version of Milesight CMS today on a Mac running Mojave 10.14.4 so we have yet to test it in-depth, if you are a Mac user with a Milesight system then please install this software and share in this thread your thoughts about the solution, both positive and negative, so we can collate them with our findings and share them with Milesight support so they can improve the software. (we would especially be interested to hear from anyone using CMS on a Mac running the latest version of MacOS Catalina)
