Night vision - LED or Tungsten lighting

Purely academic interest but can anyone please explain the following for me.

I have a Hikvision system monitoring my drive and at night time and when wildlife or whatever set off the LED security lights the picture captured remains in black and white. However if they set off the porch light which is old tungsten bulbs, it captures the pictures in colour. I would like to know why this is.

Either light type should be fine for the camera to operate in colour IF enough light is in the scene (received at the camera).
